Milton offers so many different options for schooling both through public school options and private schools. There are 4 elementary schools and 1 middle school which have been recently revitalized as well as a brand new Milton High School. Entertainment

A full calendar of events is always available and some of the features include Governor Hutchinson’s Field which offers music, festivals, summer camps, scavenger hunts and really anything you can think of!! If horses are your thing there is Horseplay Stables. Forbes House Museum is on the National Historic Landmark register and is open to the public to tour. The Trailside Museum at the Blue Hills features a natural history museum as well as outdoor wildlife exhibits. There are also multiple annual carnivals in the area that take place in various locations.
Parks and Recreation
There are too many wonderful options for outdoor enjoyment to mention them all but a few of the most popular are listed below. Govenor Hutchinson’s Field is a beautiful nature reserve and offers access to Pierce Reservation which is 4 acres of woodland and fields with paths and trails along the Neponset River. Cunningham Park is a favorite for many dog walkers. There is also Turner Pond perfect for walking and jogging. The Blue Hills Reservation has activities year round! Enjoy skiing and snow shoeing in the winter and swimming at Houghton’s Pond in the summer.
Commute
The area is serviced by the Red Line trolley at Milton station which will quickly take you into Ashmont and transfer for South Station or Downtown Crossing. The trolley is unique extension of the Red Line that runs from Mattapan Square through the area into Lower Mills Dorchester, eventually connecting to the subway. There are multiple bus lines that offer access to Quincy Center Station and Ashmont Station. If travelling by car you will enjoy easy access to I-95 and I-93.
